The Journey
I’ve spent 15 years turning complex technical challenges into shipped products. My path has taken me from writing automation scripts in CAD platforms to leading R&D teams processing terabytes of geospatial data to now building financial software that helps founders understand their numbers.
The thread that connects it all: I love building systems that make hard things simple, and growing the teams that build them.
Where I’ve Been
Head of Software Development @ Profitual (2024-Present)
Building the technical foundation for a financial forecasting platform. I set strategic direction, own the architecture, and focus heavily on growing our development team. We’re helping startups build investor-ready projections in minutes instead of weeks.
Senior Software Developer @ Profitual (2023-2024)
Joined to lead development of the core platform, focusing on architecture and mentoring. Promoted to Head after establishing the technical foundations.
Director of R&D @ Leading Edge Geomatics (2014-2022)
Eight years in the geospatial industry, progressing from developer to director. I built and led a team creating software for processing aerial LiDAR data—millions of points per second, terabytes per project. The highlight was implementing a distributed ML system using Random Forest to generate Enhanced Forest Inventories at scale.
The Early Days (2011-2014)
Built Live Standards, one of the early products on the Autodesk App Store—a tool that helped CAD teams distribute and enforce drawing standards. It was also an early bet on Microsoft Azure back when cloud was still a hard sell. Learned that the best code is the code that saves someone else hours of tedious work.
Outside Work
When I’m not writing code or reviewing PRs, I’m designing tabletop roleplaying games. Dawn and Dusk are my current passion projects—living TTRPGs that evolve with their communities.
